Excellence In Construction Award

ABC’s Award’s of Excellence Program has become the premier competition within the construction industry that recognizes outstanding construction projects.

JPI received the 2003 Excellence In Construction in the Specialty Contractor Division. This was awarded for our work on the St. Michael the Archangel.

Step Platinum Award

STEP stands for Safety Training & Evaluation Process. It is designed to give an organized approach to analyze and develop your safety and loss prevention program. By attaining Platinum level, JPI is exempt from random OSHA inspections for one year.

To achieve Platinum level, members must demonstrate the following:

• Management policy statement on safety
• Employee safety training
• Responsibility for safety defined
• Safety tool box meetings
• Low EMR or loss ratio
• Frequent on site inspections
• Safety budget
• Supervisory training
• Safety program goal setting
• Accident investigation

• Use of personal protective equipment
• Pre-planning for jobsite safety
• Performance audit
• Employee participation
• Substance abuse policy
• New employee orientation
• Recordkeeping
